Ann Thompson specializes in leading early-stage high growth companies through developing and building infrastructure to measure, understand and plan for execution of business growth and strategy. Her focus on creating the infrastructure and controls environment needed for strong financial performance is what drives her success. She embraces the overall corporate mission and partners with the delivery and sales team to develop and incorporate an overall financial strategy to drive performance. Thompson has a long history of building and restructuring teams, processes and internal controls to ensure quality, efficiency, compliance and scalability.
As Chief Financial Officer, Thompson is responsible for ensuring TekSynap has sound, timely financial reporting coupled with relevant and meaningful financial planning data and analysis. This information is critical to enhance the understanding of the business operations and to support quantification and development of key business strategies. Thompson is also responsible for anticipating and facilitating appropriate financing for working capital and other growth-related needs. She facilitates the development of long-term forward pricing and interfaces with the government on matters of compliance.
In her 30-year career, Thompson has held leadership roles in high growth companies in government contracting, professional services, software and other industries. Most recently she held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance for a 600-person services firm with a footprint on four continents. During her tenure, she collaborated and executed acquisitions and integrations, while building and maturing all financial systems.
Thompson began her career as an emerging business auditor with Arthur Andersen and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the College of William and Mary.
