TekSynap has been recognized as one of the “First 50” companies in Fairfax County to earn the Best Workplaces for Commuters Award. The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, in partnership with the National Center for Transit Research (NCTR), has designated this program to acknowledge employers who have excelled in implementing green commuter programs such as ridesharing, transit benefits, biking, walking, teleworking, alternate work schedules and other strategies. These types of programs improve mobility by reducing the number of single occupant vehicles on the road. This award was presented to us at the Recognition Ceremony on December 8, 2015.

The Mid-Tier Advocacy (MTA) was established to work toward the elimination of the competitive disadvantage facing small emerging and mid-tier government support services companies. A nonpartisan organization, MTA lobbies for the recognition of mid-tier businesses as an industry-size category between large and small businesses. They are a national business alliance that represents the nation’s top small emerging and mid-size firms.

The Mid-Tier Advocacy “Bridge Award” is awarded to bridge builders and those who are making their way across. Crossing that bridge sometimes means engaging the support of others and occasionally it means reaching back to help someone else cross a bridge.
