Lisa McCann is an Arizona native, born and raised in Southern Arizona. She currently runs TekSynap’s Western Operations located in Sierra Vista, Arizona. She brings over 25 years of DoD IT experience and leadership in Enterprise Operations, Program Management, and Solution Development. Lisa has proven experience providing support to DoD customers that includes US Army Network Enterprise Technology Command (NETCOM) and US Army Information Systems Engineering Command (ISEC). She is results driven with a focus on growth and strategic planning and program leadership, while establishing strong customer and partner relationships. Lisa has successfully overseen all phases of contracts from opportunity identification to solutions development through program execution and management. She has a unique blend of technical understanding, leadership, and analytical skills that allows her to effectively lead teams.

Lisa began working in the technology industry in 1997 as a Senior Systems Engineer at US Army NETCOM. After her time there, Lisa transitioned to Smartronix Inc., where she worked as a Program Development Manager. Eventually, this path led her to becoming the Vice President of Business Development at Empower AI, and subsequently TekSynap.

With Lisa’s guidance, TekSynap utilizes groundbreaking technological solutions that contribute to an effective and efficient work environment. Lisa’s work with her team has allowed further innovation within the tech field, developing computing, cloud, and secure operational systems while expertly marketing it to clients.

With 24 years of experience, Lisa has expertly navigated the technology field and has fostered a workplace that encourages a growth mindset while properly using our channels to market a product to fruition. She knows the technology industry very well because of her years of experience which has translated into incredible leadership skills, high motivation and a strong work ethic that cannot be matched. Lisa knows the ins and outs of the industry, which has allowed TekSynap to expand their clientele while simultaneously maintaining technological integrity.

Lisa believes that success is partly is attributed to those you surround yourself with, and she’s been fortunate to have worked alongside some of the best leaders in the defense industry throughout her career. Because of this, it’s important to her to create a culture of growth to help guide and mentor others to learn and grow their own careers.
She would describe her leadership style as transformational because she strives to empower and motivate her team to produce consistent results and achieve TekSynap’s goals. Since assuming the role of Vice President, Lisa has had a significant impact by doubling TekSynap West’s portfolio of cybersecurity, network modernization, and install work in less than a year.

Outside of work she’s a proud mom of 3 and has a very large and close-knit extended family that she enjoys spending her free time with. She also enjoys hiking, riding horses, and cheering on the University of Arizona’s Wildcat’s.

NOVEMBER 8, 2023 – U.S. Acting Secretary of Labor Julie A. Su recognized TekSynap as one of the 859 recipients of the 2023 HIRE Vets Medallion Award during a virtual award ceremony presented by U.S. Department of Labor. TekSynap earned the gold award after applying earlier this year. The Honoring Investments in Recruiting and Employing American Military Veterans Act (HIRE Vets Act) Medallion Program is the only federal award program that recognizes employers who successfully recruit, hire, and retain veterans.

Chief Administrative Officer, Toni Fisher, stated “At TekSynap, we take pride in our commitment to supporting veterans. Mr. Darrell Nealy, with an expansive 38-year tenure at the Department of Navy (DoN), joins TekSynap as Vice President of Operations focusing on fostering and expanding relationships across the DoN and other federal government agencies. Darrell’s career encompasses leadership roles in multi-billion-dollar Information, Communications, and Technology (ICT) government projects worldwide, coupled with a strong security emphasis. Post his naval service, which included over 26 years as a Senior Naval Officer with domestic and international strategic operations management, Darrell transitioned to a significant role as a GS-15 Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Navy Region Southwest (NRSW), where he oversaw ICT operations and Cyber Security programs for the southwestern United States.

Mr. Nealy’s dedication to continuous system support and enhancement improvements is a testimony to his substantial federal government career. With a comprehensive understanding of Information Warfare Concepts, he has a command of tactical, operational, and strategic level ICT solutions and cybersecurity programs.
