As an 8(a) Prime Contractor on the Defense Logistics Agency J6 Enterprise Technology Services (JETS) IDIQ contract vehicle, TekSynap has been awarded more than 27 individual task orders (TO). Across active tasks, TekSynap’s 161 cleared and qualified personnel perform a wide array of enterprise services for DLA, bringing executional excellence and the highest levels of domain knowledge to each JETS task order.
On Thursday March 28, 2019 TekSynap was awarded the Highly Adaptive Cybersecurity Services (HACS) Special Item Numbers (SINS), adding to the company’s capabilities in pursuing work on its existing GSA IT Schedule 70 Contract through the HACS Special Item #132-45. The award is also an important pillar in TekSynap’s Cyber, Information Assurance, and IT Security core competencies and enhances TekSynap’s ability to pursue and capture information technology cyber initiatives in Penetration Testing, Incident Response, Cyber Hunt, and Risk Assessment.
TekSynap announced today that it was awarded a four year, $42M dollar task order by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for the Systems Network and Cross Cutting (SNCC) Services contract under the GLobal INfrastructure and Development Acquisition (GLINDA) BPA. The SNCC contract provides enterprise operations and IT services for over 4,500 NRC users, spanning NRC headquarters in Rockville, MD, the NRC Technical Training Center (TTC) in Chattanooga, TN, and NRC’s Regional Offices located in King of Prussia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Lisle, IL, and Arlington, TX.
On October 12, 2018 TekSynap, in conjunction with prime contractor SMS, was awarded a five-year contract to provide comprehensive information technology services for the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Phillips Research Site (PRS). The PRS of the AFRL is the United States Air Force’s (USAF) focal point for directed energy and space and missile related research and technology.
TekSynap of Reston, Virginia, is being awarded a maximum $435,000,000 indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for agency-wide core information technology services and support (ITSS) for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in support of the Information Integration and Technology Services (I2TS) Directorate and the Chief Information Office (CIO).
Synaptek is in the process of changing our branding from “Synaptek” to “TekSynap”. All aspects of the company remain the same.
The reason for this change is an apparent trademark conflict with a California company called Synoptek LLC (with an “o” instead of an “a”). While we had a trademark for the “Synaptek” name, Synoptek LLC filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in California requesting a judicial cancelation of our trademark. Recently, the judge in the case filed an order to cancel our trademark for the “Synaptek” name and found that our use of the name infringes on the plaintiff’s mark, citing a possibility of future confusion. It is clear in the judge’s order that we must change our branding as quickly as possible. The most notable immediate effect is that our website has been changed to reflect the TekSynap name. Subsequently, business cards, communications and other branded items will be updated to reflect the new branding.
