Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)

TekSynap supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) mission is to lead the national effort to protect and enhance the resilience of the nation’s physical and cyber infrastructure. Our team supports the Stakeholder Engagement Division (SED) which is a newly formed division within CISA, tasked to lead, oversee, and evaluate strategic, customer-centric engagements with partnership groups.

Our teams support and focus include streamlining strategic outreach to government and industry partners, by leveraging capabilities, information and intelligence, and subject matter experts to help meet stakeholder requirements. SED also provides support for the State, Local, Tribal, Territorial (SLTT) community through leadership of various working groups that facilitate awareness of SLTT governments’ perspective into the national critical infrastructure planning process and advance critical infrastructure issues, approaches, and best practices at the SLTT and regional levels. SED also fosters partnership coordinating councils comprised of owners and operators, trade association representatives and government representatives. Together, these largely voluntary public-private partnerships bring national, regional, state and local perspectives to cybersecurity and infrastructure security activities.

Our teams support within SED focuses on three lines of effort:

Strategic Partnerships. SED builds strategic partnerships with federal, state, local, tribal, territorial (SLTT), international, and private sector organizations, including critical infrastructure. SED supports national industry and government councils serving critical sectors, facilitating the sharing of vital information and resources, as well as enabling rapid crisis coordination. SED also identifies opportunities for collaboration to address shared needs and links stakeholder organizations with CISA subject matter experts.

Stakeholder Engagement Strategy. SED coordinates and governs CISA’s stakeholder engagement strategy, offering resources and activities based on stakeholder needs. SED’s stakeholder engagement initiatives include developing targeted awareness campaigns on cybersecurity, infrastructure security, and emergency communications issues, as well as resources to help stakeholders develop the capabilities needed to address these threats.

Stakeholder Relationship Management. SED’s activities inform CISA’s unified, customer-centric approach. Stakeholder relationship management enables SED to continually expand and improve engagements, services, and product offerings.
