TekSynap Awarded Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) Data and Information Management Contract
TekSynap was awarded the Data and Information Management Contract by the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) on behalf of the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). Services include high, mid, and entry-level information management expertise to support data collection, analysis, imaging, and retrieval/delivery services for the Gulf of Mexico Region (GOMR), Alaska and Pacific regional program offices. The single award contract has a value of approximately $6.5M over 3 years.
BOEM manages the responsible exploration and development of offshore energy and marine mineral resources on the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf (OCS). The bureau promotes energy independence, environmental protection and economic development through responsible management of these offshore resources based on the best available science. Functions include: Leasing, Plan Administration, Environmental Studies, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Analysis, Resource Evaluation, Economic Analysis and the Renewable Energy Program.
TekSynap will provide project management, technical consulting, and records management. The requirements will encompass such functions as data loading, document processing, indexing, scanning, data validation, data quality assurance, data archiving, document technical support, application and database design and development, Geological Interpretive Tools (GIT) support, seismic data management, records management, and overseeing projects.
