TekSynap awarded Pentagon Communications Contract with prime General Dynamics

TekSynap, in conjunction with Prime contractor General Dynamics Information Technology, has been awarded a three year contract to provide comprehensive support to the Pentagon’s communication infrastructure. The U.S. Army Information Technology Agency’s requirements for Enterprise Transport Management (ETM) effort includes all services to provide a managed Local Area Network/Metropolitan Area Network/Wide Area Network Connectivity, Time Division Multiplexing, or TDM technology for Long Haul and Point to Point Communications. Four classification levels of transport networks are supported from Unclassified through Top Secret SCI. The team is responsible to operate, maintain, deploy, and manage all existing network infrastructure elements. Tasks are performed as required within designated Government facilities within a 100 miles radius of the Pentagon, The Mark Center, and established alternate site(s) internal to the National Capital Region (NCR) to include but not limited to such sites as the Arlington National Cemetery, Fort Belvoir, VA, Fort Detrick MD, Fort McNair, Fort Myer, and Fort AP Hill. External sites of the network extend to Mechanicsburg, PA, Rhode Island, Charlottesville, and Warrenton, VA as well as numerous other sites.

TekSynap primary role on the ETM program is in the “projects” area on the program, providing support to over 400 simultaneous active projects within the Pentagon communication environment. Projects can range from small groups of move, adds or changes (MACs) to implementation of broader architectural changes. As part of ETM, TekSynap participates in the overall Operations and Maintenance of this complex communication infrastructure providing support over 50,000 users and 100,000 end stations at multiple classification levels for all military service branches within the National Capital Region.
