Contract Description:
Commodities Enterprise Contract (CEC) – The Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information and Technology, established this contract vehicle to provide the ability to acquire commercial IT solutions (comprised of hardware and incidental services) to improve efficiency and productivity. IT Hardware commodities included in this acquisition consist of end user devices (such as laptops and thin clients), mobile tablets, servers, networking appliances (switches/routers), storage arrays/storage appliances, and security platforms (firewalls). Ancillary and/or incidental hardware, software, and services required for successful implementation may be acquired under the contracts. The VA may purchase IT Hardware Commodity items or total IT solutions.
