Declassification / Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) Program Support
TekSynap provides “Declassification” and “Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)” support to Federal agencies performing document declassification reviews and providing CUI program management support including drafting program guidance and procedures, CUI program and project planning, and the development and delivery of CUI program training material in an effort to ensure the agencies are compliant with the federal government-wide framework for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) as proscribed Executive Order 13556, 32 C.F.R. 2002, and related statutory regulatory, and procedural requirements as stipulated in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) CUI Registry. Our analysts and SME’s support agencies by participating in Government-wide CUI working groups and work closely with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), the Executive Agent for CUI assisting in crafting overall Federal CUI policy and guidance. Our support has emphasized the need for the CUI Program Manager (CUI PM) to identify agency business processes that may require heightened attention from agency personnel in their role as CUI Senior Agency Official (SAO) and/or the NARA Information Security Oversight Office (ISOO) in its role as the CUI Executive Agent (EA).
