The PRS of the AFRL is the United States Air Force’s (USAF) focal point for directed energy and space and missile related research and technology. PRS is comprised of two technical directorates of the AFRL: Space Vehicles Directorate (RV) and Directed Energy Directorate (RD). The PRS Chief Information Officer (CIO) provides information technology support for these two directorates. The PRS CIO is responsible for providing computing resources, information technology, web-based applications development, integration, and support services to the RV and RD Directorates.

AFRL PRsISM efforts include a broad range of services required to support PRS in developing and maintaining a heterogeneous computing environment and providing high quality support services. TekSynap provides services and support in the following areas: Maintenance of System Documentation including Risk Management Framework (RMF) related documentation, Information Assurance (IA) and Cybersecurity, Security Technical Information Guides (STIG) Compliance and Documentation, Server Administration, Email Support, and Customer Support. The scope of support also includes providing necessary interfaces to PRS operating locations – currently these are RV and RD locations at Kirtland AFB, NM; Maui, HI, with remote support to any associated Operating Location (OL), and others supporting the PRS CIO’s ability to provide information technology services that are standardized and operational between all sites. Also included in this objective is the integration and maintenance of PRS communications and computer systems in compliance with defense information infrastructure instructions, standards, and architectures.
